Spent a large part of the day looking for a way to convert Excel file tabs (worksheets) into seperate files. All I really want to do is break each tab into its own file. I am sure I am not the first person who has looked for this feature, but openoffice and MS Excel dont seem to have this as a option. I can break out each page on my own into a new book, but to select a bunch and do this just moves them all to a new book. The little time I have spent in Excel or spreadsheets (making a punch report tool, or buget) it just seems very ackward to do something and make the changes you want. It is scary how many people make things completely in this, or access even. It boogles the mind how people seem to accept stuff in computers as well that is just how it works. It will be interesting to see the rate of devlopment on opensource projects as more and more of the world relizes how great it can be. The opensource world moves so much quicker and it will over take the MS way of doing things just because people want fixes and changes and updates now more and more.. Or mabe MS will suprise the world and reinvent itself.
