NeroLinux has been release by the makers of Nero. The demo version does not last long and I really cant play with it much right now since I am at work. I am hoping I can now burn some DC stuff in linux with out having to convert a crap load.

Installing Debian on the Thinkpad r51 is going pretty good. Still have to setup Wireless, IR, and clean up the fonts some. The fonts just never look as nice on a LCD as a CRT but I will have to find some way to clean them up. This will all have to wait as I feel the need to get out of the house for a little and go for a walk.

I will start with the bad news so that I can end the post on a good note..

Less than one week after Sloths death Hoon has join his/her friend for life in the great fish tank (If you belive in something after death). It was more of a shock and hit a little more since Hoon had been doing much better and was eatting again and swiming around more. When Sloth left they where both not eatting and just not doing well. I always said if that one went I hoped the other would go shortly after, so I guess it worked out that way… They where both around for a while and always entertained me with the goldfish catching skills (sometime less skill than normal). The last of the Emperor Sharks have left the tank leaving but a solo goldfish that is still hiding behind the heater. /me puts on Rammstein – Engel in memory.

The good news of the day is I got my laptop and have created a set of IBM Restore CDs if I ever do feel the need to put it back to factory setup. Which means I can now just format the whole drive for linux and not care.

Today was a interesting day, but it always is when I go some place with Chris for work. He has away of making the smallest of tasks a huge adventure. :) The day started off with me wanting an Egg McGriddle. They have been a top breakfast choice of mine on the rare days I do eat breakfast. Chris not having one of them before decided to try one, and he fell in love. We spent most of hour drive after than trying to figure out why they are so good. We have decided McDonalds must put heroin in them or something..

I have decided to also get the new IBM Thinkpad I am looking at getting. So sometime this week or the start of next I will order that and be installing linux on the little beast. I have decided to go for the ThinkPad R51 (1836QPU). I know I could get something with more specs for the price, but really want the IBM since I have nothing but good stuff with linux support and they seem to be sticking to the linux thing, and they are built like little tanks. There was one issue with powermanagement being a little messed on the one IBM box I installed linux on but use to be fine with the 2.6.8 kernel..

Today I awoke to find Sloth one of my 2 main fish dead. Nor Hoon or Sloth have been eatting as much and I find myself removing food they have left from the tank. Since Sloths removal from the tank Hoon has been a lot more active and seems to like to swim about.
