Sorry for the lack of a custom layout on here right now, just did a upgrade but the rest will have to wait till tonight.

I have been pretty sick for the past two days, not sure what it is but seems almost flu like. I am doing better today this I was last night so I hope by tomorrow this is all done and over with. Figured while I wait to pass out for another night I would post a screen shot of my debian install on the laptop. Still have to do some work with the touch pad to make it work a little better in X and also do some work on acpi.

I came home to find google was not going to be my one true friend that it always had been… Atleast for a short while.. You can see from the picture that they must be having some issues and the isp I use must be part of the issue.

Finished up installing Debian sid on my laptop. It is running pretty good and everything seems to be working other than the hibernate. I was going to see about getting it going but dont really have a need for it as I didnt even use it with ubuntu. It has to many issues with bringing networking devices and other things back that make it a little less that usefull for me. I guess if 98% of everything I used didnt need the internet it might be a little more usefull.

I am making some KD while I wait for a backup of my ubuntu install to finish copying over the network. Figured I would give debian a go again and see if I can get the hybernate and everything working nice in it. Seems like a good day for it since I dont think I will be going out in the rain other than to the step. Ended up hooking up the two switches in the house here so I can access both internet accounts from the laptop and also not have to go out over the internet if I want to copy something to a computer on the other while I am on the other…. That might not have even made sense. :)
