Life is good

I have been in a pretty good mood for the last few days. Its funny how when you are in a good mood work and other stressfull things just dont seem as bad. I guess it is having something else to focus on and look forward too.

I am going to have a busy day today, and actually got up early (for a weekend). Lots of running around today and lots to think about in life.

Amano Shrimp

The algae that is slowly growning across the floor of my fish tank was starting to get to me. I have still put off getting some chems that a friend told me would help. I will have to get some, but to see if I can control it some with live things first I picked up a few Amano Shrmip. They look like Ghost shrimps but from my reading are harder to bread so cost a little more. The tank they where in at the store had a big “ALGAE?” written on the glass. They seem to be cleaning a ton of the tank, but not any areas where this green stuff is. I guess tomorrow morning I will have to check and see if the tank has been improved or not.

Tank Setup Part 4

Took some more updated pictures of the fish tank setup. It seems to be doing pretty good over all. I am starting to get a fair amount of algae on the floor of the tank where there are no plants yet and direct light all the time. I am on the hunt for a very small algae eater that will not eat plants and will stay very small.

Sorry for the blurry pictures, but this old digicam is seeing the end of its days I think…

The Golden Days

Remember a time when a processor went from a 8088 to something like the 286?

It was a time when numbers where not all the rage. The industry was smaller and people followed what was going on. Now it is so big that no one can follow what is going on, you are a hardware geek or a techno geek.

So many geek toys so little time and money, on every specrum of pay. I remeber a time looking at my computer and thinking it could still do more. Computers now make calculations that I use to dream about in a nano sec. Technology has moved so fast in the computer industry since then. I still follow the times and am still waiting for more, but if I went back to me then I would never imagine the advance in technology.

I still wait for the major change…..

This whole post was started for another reason but went off track.. With the above in mind it makes you think what Microsoft is thinking when they decided to name the next system 360 because it didnt want to seem lower that a three. So that is the point with a long winded explination of how I got to it. :)

Fluke and Tomb Raider

At my old job (I hated it so much) a guy called Rob gave me a Fluke CD. At the current job (no comment) I borrowed a DVD of Tomb Raider. I could not help but instantly pick up on the fact that the sound soundtrack has some Fluke this time around.
