Atari 2600 Review: Galaxian

Galaxian Atari 2600 Cover Galaxian is one of the top 5 most played games for the Atari 2600 in my collection. The idea of the game is simple “destroy the Galaxian fleet before they blast your laser base to stardust.”. For a Atari 2600 game the controls are smooth feeling. Graphics (remeber its the early 80’s) are well done for there time, and sound above avg..

It is one of the games for the 2600 that have just the right amount of everything. They didnt try to make it more than it should have been and just stuck to a great now simple game play. I dont remeber hearing about it being any great game back in its day, but remeber a lot of people having it, which is prob. the same thing. In any case it has stood the test of time in my game play and is something I always have to play when in a session of 2600.

I think I remeber something along those lines. How is the xbox controller for that, because I noticed my old freevo game bad didnt play them near as nice as the new cheaper ones. The cheaper ones just seem less sensitive and more in par with SNES and past systems.

well the only thing i noticed was a bit of a delay with the pacman .. unless your turning just before the turn you aren’t going to make it.. other than that its fine
