The Car To Evil To Be From Hell

Today for work me and a co-worker had to take a rental car for a few service calls. Let me just start off by directing your attention to the title above. At work we have a few VW Golf that a few of the techs bitch about but I have never had any bad feelings about. The car today was by far the worse thing I have ever seen, it was a 2007 Accent from Hyundai. The car looked like any other crappy compact car of this day and age. Sitting down I suddenly relized that they had pretty much used a large flat piece of wood for the insperation on the seat back. Looking out the back window it was clear they where hoping for computer controlled drive to be available at the time of release cause they sure didn’t expect me to see out that little port hole (mind you it was only a few feet away from me). The interior was all made of plasic and not the kind you would expect, but more store bought food container like plastic. Even the top of the dash was made of this cheap stuff and not soft like most. I suddenly relized if we got in a crash the air bag would explode through this crap and rain cheap plastic shrapnel at me. Putting this horrible thought to the back of my mind (did i mention that was some where in the trunk) we set on our way. City driving was nothing major since it was pretty busy and mostly stop and go with more stop than go. Hitting the highway it became clear that getting up to the posted speed limit of 100Km might be a little trick. Finally with some roaring and some horrible noise we where on our way. Ah the radio will help to make the trip a little better I thought.. Why does it sound like they used tin cups for speakers… Turn that off. After driving for about 45 min we noticed we where VERY low on gas (we had half a tank when we started). After a few min of not knowing if we would see a gas station in time we found one and pulled in to fill up the tank.. 20 some dollors later at 90 cents a litres the car was full and we where off again. For the rest of the trip every now and then I would hear loud wind sounds coming from the drivers side of the car. After a few times I asked my co-worker what this sound was and he casual said “the window keeps slipping down” and he would tap the window lever up a notch to fix this as if it was expected.

Thankfully we made it to our sites and back in one piece with the car in the same shape as when we left (I leave that up to you to decide if that is a good thing of not). One last thing.. Do you think the team that designed this car actually brag about it? Like walking down the street with some friends and they see one roll by “I designed that car!”.

Lol :) I take it your next car isn’t going to be a hyundi? They are some of the most ugly cars out there…
