The Scotts 18″ reel mower I picked up a few weeks back has been in use every weekend since I got it. I have not even touched the gas mower other than to move it out of the way in the garage. Since getting it I have not really noticed any difference in the lawn over the gas mower. I have seen one other person a few streets over pimping the reel mower. I have also had the person across the street ask to borrow it to cut their front lawn. He claimed it was due to just putting grass seed down and not wanting to blow it all away, but I think he just wanted to try it. While he had it I also saw the person next door to him come out and try it. :)

So far I am still pretty happy with my Reel Mower, but wish I had gone for the 20″ version.

Ferguson and the Mollies

I went into the local pet store today and picked up 4 black mollies. I only really had planned to get two since the small tank on my computer desk had lost of forms of fish life. I am pretty sure it was due to stress from a certain cat tormenting them all the time. The tank had been with out fish and just a Java fern for about two weeks and was starting to get some algae growth in it. The mollies are already eating up a fair amount of the alage that had built up, but as you can see someone is already interested in tormenting my poor little friends. Hopefully the mollies stand up to him better than the little neon tetras did… As I had said I ended up getting 4 of them and put the other two in the larger tank that is in the dinning room. There is a little more algae in that tank that I would like also, but it is kept pretty much under control with the Amano Shrimp and Otto Cat’s. I think combined the Shrimp and Otto Cat’s might actually out number the fish I have in that tank.

Had a busy last part of the week. On Wednesday my Nanna came back from her trip to England and I picked her up at the bus station. She bused it to Toronto and then took the plane from there and did the same coming back. It is nice to have my Nanna back and we are going to take her out for the Saturday grocery shopping trip as per the weekly plan.

In other news the people at KBHomes have finally started working on the basement renovations. Can’t really blame them for not starting as they told me up front that they would not get back to me till now on when they could start. They have gutted the last of the ceiling boards, and drywall on the outside walls. Framing of the one wall is up and they are coming back on Monday. I hope the rest of the framing is up by Monday so we can move on to windows and electrical.
